Say what you want about President Donald Trump, but it is undeniably true that he has a certain star quality. His sons? Not so much. Amazon Prime Video is considering rebooting the NBC reality classic The Apprentice, per a Wall Street Journal report last night. The network discussed replacing host Donald Trump with a new star: Donald Trump Jr. The original show propelled then-businessman and now-President Trump into the popularity he still has today. Could it do the same for Don Jr.? Well, seeing as he is as charismatic as a cardboard box, that would be a challenge.

“Since our acquisition of MGM, we have had preliminary internal discussions about what’s next for The Apprentice as a property,” an Amazon spokesperson said regarding the rumors. “The show is not in active development, and any reporting on details of the show or names of potential hosts would be purely speculative.”

Whether or not the show ends up getting made with Don Jr., the potential Apprentice reboot is yet another representation of Amazon’s excitement to work with the Trumps. Earlier this year, the company released the Melania documentary in theaters, where it made $16.7 million on a $40 million budget. It also added seasons of Apprentice to its library. If Kamala Harris had won the presidency, maybe we could have had a more relaxing version of the show hosted by Ella Emhoff instead, where all the contestants would be forced to learn to knit.
