The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the alert level remained at 3, based on its latest 24-hour monitoring. The 2,462-meter (8,007-foot) volcano is one of the Philippines’ top tourism draws because of its near-perfect cone shape. It’s also the most active of the country’s 24 restive volcanoes.
