Kentucky Derby Unveils $5K Mint Julep for Charity on Concession Menu at 2026 Triple Crown Race

The mint julep is the crown jewel of Kentucky Derby drink menu, so the people at Churchill Downs are using it as an opportunity to raise money for charity.

Ahead of Saturday’s race, a special $5,000 version of the mint julep was unveiled with proceeds going to charity.

The charity julep is served in a sterling silver cup that has been plated in 24-karat gold and has 152nd Kentucky Derby engraved on the front. It also comes with a Sterling silver Woodford Reserve straw.
