Britain’s Got Talent pulled off a surprise as Stacey Solomon sat in the audience ready to watch her golden buzzer act.
Stacey Solomon made an appearance on the panel to fill in for Simon who missed the first day of filming during the auditions. Stacey is no stranger to a talent show after finishing in third place during The X Factor’s 2009 series.
She finally chose her golden buzzer moment as she was won over by Braunstone Community Primary School’s choir turned rave party and was quick to press the buzzer and send them through.

Trying to keep her new role hidden at first, Stacey previously shared: “I’ve last minute been asked to do an absolutely dream job today so Rose and me are going to get ready and head up there because it’s something she will love too. Genuinely so excited to do this and can’t believe I’ve been asked [tears face emoji].”
Before taking to her Instagram where she shared a snap of the BGT judges panel and the stage with her name in lights as she penned: “What in the alternate universe is going on?”
On Saturday (May 2), the ITV talent show was back for its second week of live semi-finals. Just as Ant and Dec welcomed the judges and the audience, they announced: “I’ve spotted somebody in our studio audience” before running over to Stacey.
Stacey was sat with two of her children and husband Joe Swash. Sat in the audience to see her golden buzzer act, Braunstone Community Primary School, she said: “I cannot wait to watch them. I know they’re gonna have the time of their lives out there and that’s what this show is all about to me.
“I feel so honoured to be here and I’ve loved every second of it, good luck everyone tonight” as the audience cheered for her and Joe to be back in the studio.

Last week, the semi-final kicked off with some drama as Ant and Dec referenced the drama of Sinitta walking out during the I’m a Celebrity South Africa live final.
They wasted no time in poking fun at the awkwardness of the previous evening. Declaring there was “nothing better” than live television, Dec then took a dig at Sinitta’s theatrical departure from her seat.
Ant then said: “We had quite enough drama on the telly last night. Can you please, you four, be on your best behaviour.” Dec then joked: “If you misbehave you’ll be out quicker than Sinitta.”
