2026 F1 Miami Grand Prix – Qualifying results

Kimi Antonelli clinched pole position for the Miami Grand Prix with a stunning effort, besting Max Verstappen by almost three tenths of a second in the Sunshine State.
The Italian teenager did not need a second effort with his banker time proving comfortably enough in Florida.
Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris secured the second row for Ferrari and McLaren, respectively, ahead of George Russell, who rounded out the top five.
Lewis Hamilton will start alongside the Mercedes driver, in sixth, at the Miami International Autodrome.
Gabriel Bortoleto endured a difficult session, straight on the back of being disqualified from the sprint. It initially looked like Audi would not be able to fix the issue that caused his exclusion, but the German team managed to get the Brazilian out in time.
However, he was the slowest of the 22 runners, before promptly grinding to a halt after the chequered flag due to a brake fire on his R26, the team’s second fire of the day following the power unit failure that prevented Nico Hulkenberg from starting the sprint.
Oscar Piastri and Norris struggled in Q1 and Q2 due to a power unit issue and a boost problem, respectively.
The former snuck through to the middle session in P16 after two underwhelming efforts, whilst the latter looked off the pace in the fight for Q3; those difficulties came after the pair took a 1-2 finish in the sprint.
