Trump The Pirate, and The Crime

On May 1st, 2026, the President of the United States stood in front of a cheering crowd in Florida and confessed to a federal crime punishable by life imprisonment.
“We land on top of it and we took over the ship,” Donald Trump told the crowd. “We took over the cargo, took over the oil. It’s a very profitable business. We’re like pirates. We’re sort of like pirates, but we’re not playing games.”
The crowd erupted. They cheered. They waved American flags. They celebrated as their president bragged about ordering the United States Navy to seize foreign vessels on the high seas, steal their cargo, and sell it for profit.
What Trump described is piracy. And piracy is a federal crime under United States law, punishable by life in prison.
He admitted it. On camera. In front of witnesses. And Americans cheered.
What The Hell Is Wrong With These People
Let’s start there. With the crowd. With the people waving flags and cheering while the President of the United States admits to ordering the Navy to commit robbery on the high seas.
These people call themselves patriots. They wrap themselves in the flag. They talk about law and order and American values. And they stood in that room and applauded when Trump said “We’re like pirates.”
Piracy is not patriotic. Piracy is theft. Piracy is robbery. Piracy is one of the oldest crimes in human history, recognized as illegal by every nation on earth for centuries. The United States has prosecuted pirates for over two hundred years. The penalty is life imprisonment. And the President of the United States just admitted he’s ordering it.
And they cheered.
What the hell is wrong with them? How do you stand in a room and applaud when your president confesses to a crime? How do you wave a flag while celebrating lawlessness? How do you call yourself a patriot while cheering for piracy?
Real patriotism is holding your government accountable. Real patriotism is demanding your leaders follow the law. Real patriotism is standing up and saying no when your president admits to crimes and expects applause.
These people failed. Every single one of them. And their failure is a betrayal of everything this country is supposed to stand for.
What Piracy Actually Is
Piracy is defined under United States federal law in Title 18 of the United States Code. It’s not ambiguous. It’s not up for interpretation. The law is clear.
18 U.S.C. § 1651 says: “Whoever, on the high seas, commits the crime of piracy as defined by the law of nations, and is afterwards brought into or found in the United States, shall be imprisoned for life.”
Piracy under the law of nations means seizing ships, taking cargo by force, stealing property on the high seas. Trump described exactly that. Navy forces boarding vessels. Taking control. Seizing cargo. Selling oil. That’s piracy. That’s the crime. That’s life in prison.
18 U.S.C. § 1652 says: “Whoever, being a citizen of the United States, commits any murder or robbery… on the high seas, under color of any commission from any foreign prince, or state, or on pretense of authority from any person, is a pirate, and shall be imprisoned for life.”
Robbery on the high seas is piracy. Trump ordered American forces to rob ships under the pretense of presidential authority. That’s the crime. That’s the statute. That’s what he admitted doing.
18 U.S.C. § 2280 criminalizes anyone who “unlawfully and intentionally seizes or exercises control over a ship by force or threat thereof.”
Trump said “We land on top of it and we took over the ship.” That’s seizing control by force. That’s a federal crime.
The law is clear. The crime is defined. The penalty is life imprisonment. And Trump admitted it at a rally while Americans cheered.
What Trump Has Actually Done
On April 13th, 2026, Trump imposed a naval blockade of Iranian ports. The blockade was never authorized by Congress. Trump ordered it unilaterally, fifteen days into a ceasefire he claimed meant the war had ended.
Since April 13th, US Central Command has blocked 45 vessels attempting to transit Iranian waters. The Navy is patrolling the Gulf, intercepting ships, forcing them to turn around, and seizing them.
According to Pentagon officials, the US military has redirected more than 40 vessels carrying Iranian oil since the blockade began. Thirty-one tankers laden with 53 million barrels of Iranian oil are stuck in the Gulf, worth at least $4.8 billion. Two ships have been seized outright.
Trump didn’t just order a blockade. He ordered theft. He ordered American forces to board foreign vessels, take their cargo, and sell it.
And on May 1st he stood in front of Americans and bragged about it.
“We took over the cargo, took over the oil. It’s a very profitable business.”
That’s a confession. Trump admitted ordering the seizure of ships and theft of cargo for profit. He described the exact elements of piracy as defined under federal law.
He committed a crime. Openly. Proudly. While Americans waved flags and cheered.
Who The Hell Is Stopping This
Nobody. That’s who.
Trump ordered the United States Navy to commit piracy. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth authorized it. US Central Command executed it. Navy officers commanded the operations. American sailors boarded ships, seized cargo, and took control of vessels.
Every person in that chain of command who followed those orders committed a federal crime. The Uniform Code of Military Justice requires service members to disobey unlawful orders. An order to commit piracy is an unlawful order. Following it is a crime.
But they followed it anyway. Because the President told them to. And now Trump is bragging while the people who carried out his orders stay silent.
And Congress? Not one goddamn Republican has called for impeachment. Not one has introduced articles of impeachment for piracy. Not one has stood up and said ordering the Navy to steal cargo is a crime that demands accountability.
They’re letting it happen. They’re watching Trump admit to federal crimes and doing absolutely nothing to stop him.
That makes them accessories. That makes them accomplices. That makes them complicit in every crime Trump commits while they sit on their hands.
This Is Grounds For Impeachment
Article II, Section 4 of the United States Constitution says: “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”
Ordering the Navy to commit piracy is a high crime. Violating federal piracy statutes while serving as President is high crimes and misdemeanors.
Trump admitted it. On camera. At a rally. The evidence is his own words.
The House of Representatives has the power to impeach. The Senate has the power to try impeachments. If two-thirds of the Senate votes to convict, Trump is removed from office and can be prosecuted under federal law.
The penalty for piracy is life imprisonment.
This is not political. This is not opinion. This is a president confessing to a federal crime and Congress having a constitutional duty to hold him accountable.
But they’re doing nothing. Because the Republican Party has abandoned the rule of law. They’ve chosen Trump over the Constitution. And they’re letting him commit crimes while doing absolutely nothing to stop it.
What Piracy Actually Does To People
Let’s talk about what happens when Trump seizes Iranian oil tankers.
He’s not hurting the Iranian government. He’s not punishing the regime. The generals and clerics at the top will survive just fine.
He’s stealing money that pays for food, medicine, schools, and infrastructure. He’s taking paychecks from workers. He’s taking fuel that heats homes. He’s taking revenue that funds hospitals and keeps children fed.
When Trump seizes $4.8 billion in Iranian oil, he’s not hitting military targets. He’s taking money from families who can’t afford medicine. From workers who lose their jobs when the economy collapses. From children who go hungry when food prices spike because the country’s primary source of income is being stolen.
Trump is robbing innocent people. And he’s selling their property for profit. And Americans are cheering for it.
That’s not defending America. That’s theft. That’s piracy. That’s a crime that hurts the people least responsible for the war and least able to survive the consequences.
And Trump is bragging about how profitable it is.
Trump Must Be Held Accountable
Donald Trump has violated federal law. He admitted to ordering the United States Navy to commit piracy. He confessed to crimes punishable by life imprisonment. He did it publicly, proudly, while American citizens cheered.
Under the Constitution, Trump must be impeached. Under federal law, Trump must be prosecuted.
The House must introduce articles of impeachment. The Senate must hold a trial. The evidence is Trump’s own words, recorded on camera. There’s no ambiguity. Trump admitted it.
If the Senate convicts, Trump is removed from office. Then the Department of Justice prosecutes him for piracy. The penalty is life imprisonment.
That’s what the law requires. That’s what the Constitution demands. That’s what accountability looks like.
But it won’t happen unless the American people demand it. It won’t happen unless Congress is forced to act. It won’t happen unless enough people stand up and say a president admitting to federal crimes cannot go unpunished.
Piracy is a crime. A serious federal crime. The President of the United States is committing it. He admitted it. And he must be held accountable.
If he’s not, then the rule of law is dead. If a president can order the Navy to commit crimes, brag about it at rallies, and face no consequences, then the law means nothing. The Constitution means nothing.
Trump is a pirate under federal law. The punishment is life in prison.
Enforce the goddamn law.
