NEWARK, New Jersey (WABC) — A passenger was detained at Newark Airport after an incident on board a United Airlines flight.
Port Authority Police say they received a call just after 6 p.m. Saturday about an unruly passenger on board United flight 1837 as it arrived at Newark Liberty Airport from the Dominican Republic.
Police detained a 48-year-old-man at the gate. He was taken to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
There were 170 passengers and six crewmembers on board the Boeing 737.
One person refused medical attention.
