West Midlands Safari Park launches first ever Giraffe Jamboree

Running across selected dates until May 31, the event features family-friendly entertainment including the new Jumping Giraffes Live Show, an acrobatic stunt performance where rangers flip, tumble and even vault over a jeep.
Other activities include a Giraffe Trail around the park’s Discovery Trail, with visitors solving clues for a chance to win an overnight stay in a Giraffe Safari Lodge.
Children can enjoy mask-making in the Crafty Cubs Corner and leave messages for the giraffe keepers.
The safari park’s Conservation Station will focus on giraffe conservation efforts, with funds supporting the Giraffe Conservation Foundation and its work protecting Nubian giraffes in Uganda.
Guests can also meet Gerald the Giraffe, a loveable new character who normally resides at Kidderminster Harriers, but is taking a break from football to meet guests at the Park for photos and high fives.
Giraffe feeding sessions will give guests a chance to hand-feed the park’s herd.
Visitors may even spot Olive and Namara, the park’s youngest giraffe calves, exploring their habitat.
Bethan Davis, senior PR and events executive, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing a brand-new event to West Midlands Safari Park, all centred around the wonder of giraffes.
“Giraffe Jamboree is designed to be fun, lively and full of unforgettable moments for our guests, but we also hope it leaves something lasting behind.
“If guests walk away not only entertained but also inspired to understand and help protect wild giraffe populations, then we’ll have achieved something truly special.”
All Giraffe Jamboree activities are included in standard admission.
