Dolly Parton ‘ain’t done!’ Get ready for ‘new stuff’ in 2026
Dolly Parton is gearing up for more in 2026. The singer told fans to get ready for new things at Dollywood’s 2026 season opening.
After dealing with some health issues over the past year, Dolly Parton is giving her fans an update – delivering some good news and some bad news.
Parton posted a video on social media to share that she’s still being treated for and healing from health issues related to kidney stones and digestive and immune systems.
“The good news is I’m responding really well to meds and treatments. And I’m improving every day,” Parton said in a video posted May 4.
“The bad news is it’s going to take me a little while before I’m up to stage performance level because some of the meds and treatments make me a little bit swimmy headed, as my grandma used to say,” she continued.
And with that, Parton also announced she will have to miss her Las Vegas residency that was scheduled for later this year. The show was initially scheduled for December 2025 and was postponed to September 2026 because of her health.
“I’m going to miss all of you that had tickets to see me in Las Vegas. Well, you get on to Vegas and you have a big time. And hopefully, sometime you’ll come up to New York and maybe see my show, and I’ll see you somewhere down the line,” she said referencing and upcoming stage musical about her life that’s planned to run on Broadway in 2026.
