“Well hey there, it’s Dolly, and I am here to give you an update on a few things going on in my life. First, it’s concerning my health, and I have some good news and a little bad news,” she started.
She explained that she’s currently on “meds and treatments” and is responding quite well to them, but as for the “bad news,” she phrased them in more comic terms, comparing herself mostly to a car by saying: “My transmission is slipping, my oil pan is leaking and my muffler’s busted; and my shocks and pistons need to be replaced.”
As Dolly put it, she was feeling “swimmy-headed,” quoting a phrase her grandmother would use, to denote that she would get dizzy and easily fatigued with too much exertion.
“I can’t be dizzy carrying around banjos, guitars, and such on five-inch heels – and you know that I’m going to be wearing them!” she quipped. “Not to mention all those heavy rhinestone outfits, the big hair, my big… personality. Lord, that would make anybody swimmy-headed.”

While also noting that she frequently passed kidney stones as well, she added: “But seriously, my immune system and my digestive system got all out of whack over the past couple of three years, and they’re working real hard on rebuilding and strengthening those. And hopefully I’ll be up to snuff again soon.”
She also apologized to the fans that won’t see her in Las Vegas for her shows, before turning her attention to the passing of her husband Carl Dean in March of 2025, thanking her fans worldwide for showing up for her with their unconditional love and support in the wake of his death.
“Speaking of Carl and my health, I remember back years ago I was griping about something hurting or this and that, and Carl said, ‘Now honey, you got to remember you’re not getting any younger.’,” she recalled.
The singer also marked one year since her husband Carl Dean’s passing in March
“I said, ‘Well honey, you’ve got to remember that as long as there are plastic surgeons in this world, I’m not getting any older!'”
Dolly ended by reassuring fans that she was still actively working as much as her body allowed her to, including making videos, recording music, being at Dollywood, and working on the opening of her Broadway-bound musical.
“And I just want you to know I thank you for standing by me, and that I will always love you. Thank you,” she concluded.

Dolly captioned the clip on social media with: “Thank you for standing by me and showing me so much love and support over the past year. I’ve still got some healing to do, but I am on my way! See you soon.”
