Rihanna Arrives at the Met Gala 2026 in a Shimmering, Sculptural Gown

In the years that followed, Rihanna continued to turn heads, working with designers like Commes des Garçons, John Galliano for Maison Margiela (who can forget her Pope-inspired look for “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” in 2018?), Balenciaga, and Valentino.
A decade later, she’d make another splashy entrance. At the Met Gala 2025, Rihanna was fashionably late, arriving after 10 p.m. But it was worth the wait: She made her entrance and revealed that she was expecting her third child with partner A$AP Rocky, in a menswear-inspired custom wool suit designed by Marc Jacobs, complete with a hat created in collaboration with Stephen Jones. It was a fitting look for the Met Gala’s Tailored for You dress code, which paid homage to the Black dandy with a focus on bespoke suiting.
