Manchester Airport T2 shut after police chase crash

Part of an airport was closed for three hours after a police chase ended in a crash outside a terminal.
The pursuit came to end near the upper forecourt of Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport at about 02:40 BST on Tuesday.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries, Greater Manchester Police said.
The upper forecourt reopened at about 05:30. In a post to social media, Manchester Airport apologised and thanked passengers “for their patience”.
