Unsettled weather, freeze watch by midweek in Casper area

CASPER, Wyo. –– Some unsettled weather is ahead for the workweek in central Wyoming.
According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, Monday will be mostly sunny before chances of afternoon showers and thunderstorms develop. A high of 61 degrees and gusts around 21 mph are expected. Rain and possible snow showers are expected overnight, along with some thunder. The low will dip to 36 degrees and gusts of up to 23 mph are likely.
Tuesday could see snow showers early on, turning to rain by noon. A high of 44 degrees is likely. Snow and rain showers are possible overnight as a freeze watch goes into effect. Temperatures as low as 27 degrees are possible.
Wednesday will see early chances of light snow showers before clearing. The remainder of the day will be mostly sunny, with a high of 52 degrees and an overnight low of 36 degrees.
Thursday will be partly sunny with a high near 70 degrees and gusts around 25 mph. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible.
Friday and Saturday will see chances of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, with highs in the low 70s.
