Jennie Enters Her Blue Era at the 2026 Met Gala

It’s the 2026 Met Gala, and fresh on the red carpet is Blackpink’s Jennie. Working with stylist Sam Woolf, the K-pop star, actress, and Chanel global ambassador chose a column dress with a bustier completely covered in sequin leaves in shades of blue.
The dress took 540 hours to create and features 15,000 embroidered elements to complete the look. She paired it with Chanel High Jewelry pieces made of gold and white diamonds and kept the glam simple, with pale pink hues. (Her hair was styled up with a small kiss curl.)
Tonight marks Jennie’s fourth consecutive Met Gala appearance. She made her debut in 2023, honoring the theme “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” as one of the late designer’s last handpicked muses for Chanel. Inspired by a look from Lagerfeld’s fall 1990 ready-to-wear collection, the house crafted her a white satin bustier mini dress with a black ribbon tie at the bodice and a white camellia embellishment.
For 2024’s ball, the singer wore a custom royal blue Alaïa gown by Pieter Mulier, paired with color-coordinating heels, pearl earrings, and a belly chain. And last year, she broke from her budding mini-dress tradition to capture the dress code, “Tailored for You,” with an off-the-shoulder black satin jumpsuit and overskirt by Chanel that took more than 330 hours to make. A two-toned hat and a bun styled into a bow completed the look.
Now, with a stacked lineup of solo headlining spots at summer’s biggest music festivals on the horizon—including The Governors Ball, Lollapalooza, and more—we can’t wait to see what the future holds for Jennie.
