Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster cozy up for Met Gala debut

Broadway stars Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster have brought the drama to the 2026 Met Gala.
The couple arrived hand-in-hand at the annual museum fundraiser on May 4, with Jackman donning his signature black tuxedo over a white dress shirt – an outfit template he’s worn during each of his Met Gala appearances over the past decade. Foster wore a sparkly gold one-shoulder gown with a slit that showed her left leg as well as her matching gold heels.
Jackman last attended in 2024, when he arrived solo following his split from ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness in September 2023. After their Met Gala debut in 2004, he and Furness stepped out together for the 2014, 2017, 2018, 2022 and 2023 installments.
The couple, who costarred in the 2022 Broadway revival of “The Music Man,” made their Hollywood debut as a couple at the AFI Fest premiere of his new movie “Song Sung Blue” in October 2025. They have since made the rounds at high-profile events, recently stepping out together for the premiere of Jackman’s animated film “The Sheep Detectives” in New York City in April.
Jackman and Furness, who costarred in the 1995 Australian show “Correlli,” were married from 1996 to 2023, when the couple announced they had separated.
Rumors about a romance between Jackman and Foster started swirling when they were photographed out and about together at the beginning of 2025. Tony winner Foster has been married twice, to fellow Broadway star Christian Borle and screenwriter Ted Griffin. The latter marriage ended when the “Once Upon a Mattress” actress filed for divorce in October 2024 after 10 years of marriage.
Other couples at the Met Gala this year included lead sponsors Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos, Adrien Brody and Georgina Chapman, and Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor.
