Emily Atack debuts head-turning weight loss ahead of Rivals series two return

Emily Atack has stunned fans with a noticeably slimmer look as she gears up for the return of hit drama Rivals. Fans gushed over the star’s beauty as she attended the showbiz event.
The 36-year-old actress gave followers a glimpse into her latest press commitments for the Disney+ series, sharing behind-the-scenes snaps from a glam-filled promotional day ahead of the second season.
Looking effortlessly polished, Emily opted for a chic cream top with black trim and gold button detailing, paired with tailored matching trousers. The star, who plays Sarah Stratton in the show, appeared in high spirits as she prepared for interviews and publicity duties.

She captioned the post: “Rivals Season 2 Junket fun.” Emily, who welcomed her son Barney in 2024 with partner Alistair Garner, has been candid about her post-pregnancy experience and the pressure many new mothers face when it comes to body image.
Speaking previously on Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast, she reflected on how motherhood changed her perspective on her body and the expectations placed on women after giving birth.
“There’s something quite liberating about having a baby. Your body goes through so much and you genuinely look at your body as a completely different vessel,” she said.
She continued: “Being pregnant and being desexualised, looking at your body, you create a human inside you, then you give birth to your child, which by the way is mental, you get home and the first thing people say to you is, when are you going to get back in the gym?”

Emily also criticised the lack of recognition given to new mothers, adding: “Where’s the congratulations for being a mother? Instead it’s when are you going to get the baby weight off…”
She added: “I’m not back at the gym at the minute, I’ve actually put on more weight since giving birth. I’m just enjoying this bit.”
Her latest appearance comes amid reports of major earnings for the Rivals cast. According to The Sun, Emily and her co-stars are each set to receive around £1.5million for the series.
The ensemble cast also includes Danny Dyer as Freddie Jones, David Tennant as Tony Baddingham, Aidan Turner as Declan O’Hara, Katherine Parkinson as Lizzie Vereker and Alex Hassell as Rupert Campbell-Black.
