Jeff Daniels, Joel Edgerton, Caleb McLaughlin & Nnamdi Asomugha Join Netflix’s AI Thriller From Joseph Gordon-Levitt

EXCLUSIVE: Jeff Daniels, Joel Edgerton, Caleb McLaughlin And Nnamdi Asomugha are set to join Rachel McAdams in the Netflix’s Untitled AI Thriller with Joseph Gordon-Levitt directing. Netflix landed the package last October with plans to go into production this summer. Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman’s T-Street Productions will produce. Gordon-Levitt and Kieran Fitzgerald are also producing.
Netflix had no comment.
Storyline is under wraps for the AI movie, which is being produced by T-Street. Gordon-Levitt has been passionately outspoken about AI, and wrote the script with Kieran Fitzgerald with the story by Natasha Lyonne.
For Daniels this marks a return to Netflix after starring in the 2025 limited series A Man In Full. Same goes for Edgerton who earned rave reviews for his Sundance film Train Dreams, which Netflix would acquire at the festival. The film would go on earning a best picture nomination at this years Oscars.
McLaughlin is coming of the the final season of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things, which had aired its series finale over the holidays. He was the lead of the Sony Animation pic Goat.
Asomugha recent credits include The Knife and The Good Nurse.
