Jinkx Monsoon and BenDeLaCreme’s beloved annual holiday tour is moving to a larger venue in NYC this year, with a two-performance run set for New York City Center November 25 and 27. This year will be the ninth edition of The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show, and it will be all new.
The show stars RuPaul’s Drag Race alums Monsoon (Pirates! The Penzance Musical) and BenDeLaCreme, the latter of which also is directing and producing. The show is different every year, with past iterations seeing the duo traveling through time à la A Christmas Carol, taking on AI overlords looking to replace them, being trapped in a meta world of their own Faustian creation, and more. The project even spawned a film version (The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Special) in 2020.
The NYC run will be part of a full tour, with the itinerary to be announced in July.
Monsoon and DeLa are again writing, with the producing team including DeLa, Kevin Heard, and Gus Lanza under their BenDeLaCreme Presents banner. Jin Moon is associate producer.
Monsoon, in particular, has long been a Drag Race fan favorite among theatre fans, thanks to her love of musical theatre. Since becoming the only two-time winner of the reality competition series, Monsoon has split her career between her drag shows and theatre. She most recently starred in two high-grossing stints in Cole Escola’s Oh, Mary!, and created the role of Ruth in last season’s Pirates! The Penzance Musical. She’s also starred as Matron “Mama” Morton in Broadway’s Chicago, and made her Off-Broadway debut in 2024 as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors.
