Gŵyr Abertawe constituency election result 2026: The full breakdown of the Senedd Election result as it is announced

The ballot boxes have been opened and the votes from people across Gŵyr Abertawe are now being counted. The Senedd Election this time is unlike any other before.

People are living in new constituencies, the voting system is different and what is currently being calculated at Brangwyn Hall is which six politicians will be elected to the Senedd to represent this constituency.

There are 16 constituencies across Wales, and Gŵyr Abertawe combines the Westminster seats of Swansea West and Gower.

To look out for here is whether Labour’s long standing politician Mike Hedges can be re-elected to the Senedd, and if the city’s council leader, Rob Stewart, who is second on Labour’s list is successful.

Former Conservative regional MS Tom Giffard hopes to be returned to Cardiff Bay, and Mumbles councillor Francesca O’Brien is Reform’s top hopeful.
