‘Power failure’ causes delays across Southeastern network

A momentary power failure has brought “many” trains to a stand and caused delays across the Kent network.
Southeastern says trains were brought to a stand for a brief period in many locations and is now working to get things back to normal.
Delays on the arrivals board at Rainham station
A commuter at Rainham said a tannoy announced that there was “a problem across the whole network”.
In a post on X, the train operator said: “Trains across many routes have been delayed because of a momentary power failure.
“All routes are open, but trains were brought to a stand for a brief period in many locations. We’re working to get trains back to normal as quickly as possible.”
Passengers have shared their frustration on social media.
Phil Parrett wrote: “We’ve been at Rochester for 30 minutes. Is there any information about what is happening towards Faversham? We’ve not heard anything on board.”
Another X user said: “Brief? Been sitting on this bloody train for 30 minutes, going nowhere.”
More on this as we have it.
