BROKEN ARROW, Okla –
A woman is heartbroken after her husband was killed in a motorcycle crash last week in Broken Arrow.
Police say the driver who hit and killed Zakk Moody failed to yield near the intersection of Aspen and Kenosha Street.
The minute Courtni Moody got the phone call that her husband had been killed was when her nightmare started, because now her family’s future is shattered.

A loving husband and father
Zakk Moody loved to two-step with his wife, Courtni.
“He’s so good. He’s fast. He was always so fast. I would get so dizzy,” said Courtni.
He also loved being a good husband and a good father.
“Literally the love of my life, my soulmate, my person. An amazing father, and it’s so rare to find a father that wants to be so inclusive with their children,” said Courtni.
Losing Zakk
Courtni says Zakk was riding his motorcycle home Saturday, but he never made it back.
“I got a call from the hospital saying that he was at the hospital, and he passed away, and my heart just dropped,” she said.
Broken Arrow Police say a driver failed to yield near the intersection of Aspen and Kenosha Street and hit Zakk.
“Going home to our home that’s empty and like, not hearing his sounds. It has been a nightmare,” said Courtni.
She knows it can be easy to miss a motorcycle rider, but she’s begging drivers to be more aware.
“If we all just pay attention on the road, no families would have to go through what I’ve had to go through,” Courtni said.
Broken Arrow Police say the crash is still under investigation.
Remembering Zakk
Every time Courtni looks at her daughter, Penelope, she sees Zakk, and she will never let Penelope forget her father.
“Just by honoring his memory and all of the things that he stood for in life. Continuing to go to church and pray and continue to do the things that he loves and incorporate those things that we do in everyday life,” she said.
Zakk also leaves behind two other young children, Keeleigh and Kaige.
Zakk’s funeral is Monday afternoon at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow at 2 p.m.
