No. 2 Nebraska looks for its 20th straight win when it takes on Indiana in a Big Ten tournament semifinal on Friday night
The No. 2-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers (44-6) kept rolling on Thursday with a quarterfinal victory at the Big Ten Conference tournament, running their winning streak to 19 games as the top seed prepares to take on the Indiana Hoosiers (42-13) in a semifinal matchup on Friday night at Maryland Softball Stadium in College Park, Maryland. Nebraska finished 23-1 in conference play while the Hoosiers grabbed the fourth seed with a 17-7 Big Ten mark and come into Friday with six straight victories. The teams did not play during the regular season.

Nebraska hung three runs on the board in the bottom of the first inning, erasing an early 1-0 deficit and going on to defeat Michigan 4-2. Ava Kuszak pushed across the go-ahead run with a bunt single after Hannah Camenzind tied the game with an infield hit. Emmerson Cope provided some insurance with a solo homer in the fourth inning and Jordy Frahm struck out nine while allowing only one earned run and four hits to improve to 17-4 on the season.
Indiana never trailed on Thursday and broke the game open with three runs in each of the fifth and sixth innings en route to a 9-2 victory over Washington. Aly VanBrandt hit a two-run home run in the third inning and Alex Cooper added a three-run shot in the sixth for the Hoosiers. Ella Troutt allowed two runs on four hits over five innings before Aubree Hooks finished the game with two scoreless frames.
Frahm leads the Cornhuskers at the plate and in the circle, topping the team with 19 home runs with a .429/.523/.890 slash line while sporting a 1.25 ERA, a 0.89 WHIP and 193 strikeouts in 145.2 innings. Camenzind took over the team RBI lead with her 50th on Thursday. Avery Parker tops the Hoosiers with 19 homers and 63 RBI while VanBrandt has 15 bombs and 61 RBI while stealing 24 bases in 27 attempts. Troutt is 12-6 with a 2.80 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 110 innings this season.
