Zimbabwe faced early losses in their massive chase, and despite resistance from Kelis Ndhlovu (32), Beloved Biza (29) and Runyararo Pasipanodya (33*), the side were skittled out for 137 runs.
Pakistan skipper Fatima Sana led the way with her 3/15, and got able support from Syeda Aroob Shah (2/18), Rameen Shamim (2/20), and Momina Riasat (2/39).
The final ODI of the series, which will also be a day-night encounter in Karachi, will be played on 9 May.
