What Happened with Jennifer Aniston & Lisa Kudrow?

Lisa Kudrow is reportedly in hot water with one of her Friends co-stars, including Jennifer Aniston.

In an interview with The Independent published on April 4, Kudrow claimed that “nobody cared” about her compared to her much more popular Friends co-stars, Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry. “Nobody cared about me,” Kudrow, 62, recalled. “There were certain parts of [my talent agency] that just referred to me as ‘the sixth Friend,’” she said. She continued, “There was no vision for me, and no expectations about the kind of career I could have. There was just, like, ‘Boy, is she lucky she got on that show.’”

A month after the interview, a source told RadarOnline that Kudrow’s comment ruffled feathers among the cast. “Lisa swears she meant no harm by her comments—merely pointing out that her castmates were seen as bigger stars,” the insider said.

“But the others, Jen especially, don’t see it that way,” the source continued. “They’re not happy with Lisa for stirring up drama and pushing this self-pitying narrative that reflects poorly on the rest of them.”

As a result, insiders allege that Kudrow may be uninvited from Aniston’s rumored upcoming wedding to hypnotherapist Jim Curtis. “Jennifer’s having a hard time narrowing down the guest list, but Lisa’s remarks have made it easier,” an insider insisted. “As of this moment, it’s highly unlikely she’ll make the cut.” A representative for Aniston, however, denied RadarOnline‘s claims.

Kudrow’s comment about being seen as the “sixth Friend” also isn’t the only reason her Friends cast is reportedly upset with her. In an April 2026 interview with The Times, Kudrow let it slip that she and the rest of the Friends cast earn around $20 million a year in residuals from the hit series. When asked why the amount is still so high, she joked, “because Phoebe Buffay was so great?”

On April 30, just days after the interview was published, Rob Shuter took to this Naughty But Nice Substack and reported that Kudrow’s former castmates were allegedly “absolutely furious” with her for revealing their earnings.

“The others were stunned Lisa said it out loud,” one insider told Shuter. “Nobody talks about the money. That has always been the unspoken rule.”

Another source claimed that the cast has “always been disciplined about it,” adding, “You never hear Jen talking about residuals. You never hear Courteney talking about syndication checks. There’s a reason for that.”

The reason they’ve all kept quiet about this is because of security optics and potential public scrutiny. But now, insiders allege Kudrow’s “just put a target on all of their backs.“

“Once people hear that number, everything changes—security, expectations, lawsuits, pressure, even who starts asking for money,” they added.

As for Aniston and Curtis, the couple was first spotted together in July 2025, living it up on a yacht in Spain with the actress’ famous friends like Jason Bateman and his wife, Amanda Anka. They’ve been seen together ever since, and Aniston made their relationship Instagram official that November. In honor of his birthday, the Emmy winner shared a black-and-white photo of her holding Curtis from behind. “Happy birthday my love,” she wrote in the caption. “Cherished ❤️.”

In the photo, Aniston is wearing what appears to be a diamond ring on that finger. Shortly after, RadarOnline reported that she and Curtis secretly got engaged.

“Jen’s playing things close to the chest, but she’s been confiding that she feels totally secure with Jim,” a longtime friend of Aniston’s revealed. “She told us, ‘He’s the person I’ve been hoping to find,’ and she’s already mentioning a wedding overseas.”

Neither Aniston nor Curtis has confirmed that they’re engaged, but another source told RadarOnline that the actress is set on getting married to the hypnotist. “She told us, ‘I’m not someone who does long engagements.’ Everyone saw that as proof she’s already moving ahead with the wedding plans,” the insider said. Another source added, “There’s huge excitement, of course, but there’s also a lot of anxiety. Some friends think Jim enjoys the spotlight a little too much. A few have said they worry he’s a gold-digger. They don’t want Jen hurt again.”

In February 2026, a source also told Us Weekly that Aniston and Curtis were “inseparable.” They said Aniston is “really happy,” noting that Curtis offers “a sense of stability and peace in her life.” The insider continued, “This is the most comfortable she has felt in a long time, and it’s still going well.”

According to an interview with the health and wellness expert on the Today show, he and Aniston met through mutual friends—and it “took a long time“ before things turned romantic between them.
