The 2025 FA Vase Final delivered a memorable occasion at Wembley, as Whitstable Town secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over AFC Whyteleafe after extra time.
Whyteleafe made the brighter start and took the lead in the 17th minute through Daniel Bennett, only for Whitstable Town to respond early in the second half when Harvey Smith restored parity.
With the sides locked at 1-1, the contest was ultimately decided in extra time, where Ronald Sithole struck in the 100th minute to seal a historic triumph and Whitstable’s first ever FA Vase crown.
The final represented a landmark moment for both clubs, each making their maiden appearance in the competition’s showpiece event.
Staged as part of the FA’s annual Non-League Finals Day, the match shared the spotlight with the Isuzu FA Trophy Final at the national stadium.

Last year provided a fitting showcase for non-League football, as Aldershot Town claimed a memorable 3-0 victory over Spennymoor Town to secure the first FA Trophy triumph in the club’s history.
Following a closely fought opening spell, Aldershot seized control after the interval.
Jack Barham broke the deadlock before further strikes from Dan Ellison and Josh Barrett completed an emphatic win beneath the Wembley arch, capping a landmark afternoon for Tommy Widdrington’s side in their first appearance at the national stadium.
The occasion was equally significant for Spennymoor Town, with both finalists contesting the FA Trophy Final for the first time.
Both the FA Vase and FA Trophy finals highlight the growing profile and enduring spirit of football beyond the professional pyramid – and TNT Sports will have a dedicated team on-site at Wembley telling the stories that matter to fans watching across the country.
