18-year-old boy dies after shooting near Tenleytown Metro Station in DC

An 18-year-old man has died after a shooting near the Tenleytown-AU Metro Station in Northwest D.C. earlier this week.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said the shooting happened on May 7 in the 4500 block of Wisconsin Avenue NW.

Second District officers responded around 4:35 p.m. to reports of a shooting.

Investigators said officers found a young man suffering from a gunshot wound in an alley behind a business near the shopping district and Metro station.

The victim, identified as Brady Flowers Jr., 18, of Southwest, was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. On Friday, May 8, Flowers died from his injuries.

No arrests have been made.

MPD said the fatal shooting is under investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to call the police or text anonymous tips to 50411.

Officials said a reward of up to $25,000 is available for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the shooting.
