WISCONSIN RAPIDS – A combined Applebee’s and IHOP will open in Wisconsin Rapids.

Siyavoush Soleimani Group, an Applebee’s and IHOP franchisee, confirmed to a Daily Tribune reporter the dual brand would open in Wisconsin Rapids and Plover.

A spokesperson confirmed to a Daily Tribune reporter the Wisconsin Rapids location will open at 4311 Eighth St. S., where Applebee’s first opened in February 2005 and closed in April 2025.

The spokesperson said timelines for opening could not be confirmed yet.

“We’re looking forward to bringing dual-branded Applebee’s | IHOP restaurants to more cities throughout Wisconsin, including Wisconsin Rapids and Plover,” said Sam Soleimani, president and CEO of Siyavoush Soleimani Group.

“This concept brings together IHOP’s world-famous pancakes and breakfast favorites with Applebee’s boneless wings, burgers and more, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the best of both brands any time of day, all under one roof,” Sam Soleimani added. “We will continue to share updates as they are confirmed.”

Where Applebee’s and IHOP dual-branded restaurants have opened in Wisconsin

The dual-branded concept opened last September in Marshfield after Dine Brands closed its Applebee’s in July 2025 as crews redesigned it to add the IHOP brand.

The company also opened a dual-branded Applebee’s and IHOP location in October.

Before the Marshfield dual-branded restaurant opened, a Dine Brands’ representative told a USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin reporter the idea for a dual brand came from the company’s internal partners.

Franchise owners started reaching out to the company, asking if they could own multiple brands within the Dine Brands portfolio, and the company saw a great opportunity to feature two iconic brands under one roof.

What the Applebee’s-IHOP concept means for pancakes wings and menus

At these dual-branded restaurants, guests choose to sit in either the Applebee’s-branded or IHOP-branded areas, although all guests can order anything from either brand’s menu.

The menu itself is color-coded to note from which menu the dish came.

The menu also offers unique options that can only be found at dual-branded locations.

How dual-branded Applebee’s-IHOP restaurants work inside

Each renovation to create a dual-branded space incorporates décor specific to each brand under one roof, but each location’s design is specifically designed for that community.

The Marshfield location, for example, welcomed guests with a Marshfield city map in the entry way and included local photos and décor inside.
