Man shot by Oshkosh police taken to hospital after incident outside Fleet Farm

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – One person is in the hospital after being shot by a police officer.
According to Oshkosh Police Department, police were dispatched to the Fleet Farm on N. Washburn St. at 8 a.m. for a man with a handgun.
A uniformed Oshkosh police officer encountered a man with a handgun, discharging his weapon striking the suspect.
The man was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. We don’t know his condition, and no further information about him was provided, such as an age or name.
Police say their is no threat to the community and no other suspects are believed to be involved.
A heavy police presence was reported outside the Fleet Farm near Interstate 41.
The parking lot was cleared out and blocked off with tape by the Oshkosh Police Department and Wisconsin State Patrol.
