BC RCMP issue Amber Alert for missing Terrace B.C. twins.
Terrace RCMP have issued a provincewide Amber Alert for two abducted children last seen in the northern B.C. city Monday night.
Raina and Mathias Wood, twins aged three and a half, were reported missing from the area of 2501 Kalum St. at approximately 8:51 p.m. Both children are described as having blonde hair and blue eyes. Raina was last seen wearing pink pants, her brother Mathias in beige pants.
Police suspect the children’s mother, Tova Josephine Wood, is responsible for the abduction. Wood is described as five feet six inches tall, 141 pounds, with light brown hair past her shoulders.
Investigators believe Wood may be travelling with the children in a red 2015 Dodge Caravan bearing B.C. licence plate ME538F.
The alert covers all of British Columbia.
Anyone who spots the vehicle, Wood, or the children is urged not to approach and to call 9-1-1 immediately.
This is a developing story and will be updated as information becomes available.
