Style lessons from Princess Anne? Harriet Sperling wears a brand beloved by her future mother-in-law on a family outing to the Badminton Horse Trials
In choosing jeans from Me + Em, Harriet has more than proved her high society style credentials. The brand is beloved by everyone from the Princess of Wales (who wore a sherbert pink silk shirt dress to the Chelsea Flower Show in 2023) to Lady Victoria Starmer. Harriet completed her Badminton look with sunglasses from Finlay The Westbourne and a pair of Adidas trainers.
Since announcing her engagement to Peter Phillips in August 2025, Harriet has become a regular at royal events, joining the Firm to celebrate Easter this April, where she was joined by her 13-year-old daughter, Georgina, and often sharing jokes with Zara Tindall on the equestrian circuit.
Born Harriet Eleanor Sander to Mary Hoskins and Rupert Sanders in 1980, Sperling is the second youngest of four siblings: Nicholas, Louisa, and Rebecca. According to an online bio, she has worked as a Paediatric Nurse Specialist for the NHS, and is ‘passionate about early brain development in babies and seeing children thrive.’

Harriet has written movingly about her relationship with her daughter, whom she has raised as a single mother. ‘In the earlier years of my journey as a single mother to my daughter, resources were scarce, and the future was uncertain. Yet, in the absence of material security, I discovered the strength and life that comes from true selfless love. A love that is able to be solely devoted to your child,’ she penned in an essay for Woman Alive.
