Sydney Sweeney has popped up at an Aussie airport looking anything but her usual glamorous self.
The Hollywood star was seen arriving at Gold Coast airport earlier this week after spending a romantic weekend away on Hamilton Island with her businessman and music executive boyfriend, Scooter Braun.
Although they didn’t walk into the terminal together, the pair were all smiles upon their arrival. Sweeney, 28, tried to go incognito in a grey jumper, blue jeans, sneakers and a green-brimmed cap with the words G’Day scrawled on the front.
Braun, 44, also kept his outfit casual, rocking a white long-sleeved tee and shorts, while toting a brown overnight bag.
Sweeney is currently in Australia to film the live-action Gundam movie, which co-stars heart-throb Noah Centineo, who is a Netflix favourite after his starring role as Peter Kavinsky in the streamer’s popular To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy.
Production begun on the blockbuster in April, with filming primarily taking place at Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast. The cast and crew were also seen filming on location at Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport.
The movie – based on the giant Japanese anime robot of the same name – stars Sweeney and Centineo as rival mech pilots on opposite sides of a galactic war.
This isn’t the first time the actress has filmed in Australia.
She was last here in 2023 to shoot the romantic comedy Anyone But You. The cast and crew of that production set up locations across Sydney, with major scenes set at Palm Beach, the Opera House and Sydney Harbour.
Her most recent stint Down Under has been well documented with the star seen out and about in Sydney last week.
The actress – who opts to stay in the Sydney beachside suburb of Bondi when not filming Gundam – kicked off her stay by catching a Sydney Swans game at the Sydney Cricket Ground on May 3 with her dad, Steven, and best friend Kate McCartney.
The trio then took in the Sydney Harbour views by doing the Bridge Climb. Although this was not the first time Sweeney has climbed the famous landmark – while filming Anyone But You back in 2023, she also climbed the bridge with her co-star Glen Powell.
This time around, they was no bridge climb for Sweeney and her new boyfriend as they opted for the serenity of Hamilton Island.
The pair have been going strong for almost one year now after first connecting in June 2025 at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s star‑studded Venice wedding.
Their relationship came just three months after Sweeney ended her relationship with fiance Jonathan Davino after seven years.
As for Braun, he finalised his divorce with wife Yael Cohen in 2022 after seven years of marriage and three children.
According to reports, he agreed to pay his ex $US20 million ($27 million) in their settlement.
