M5 traffic: Motorway reopens after motorcyclist injured in crash

All lanes have reopened on the M5 following a serious crash involving a motorcyclist.

The northbound carriageway was shut between junction 11 for Gloucester and junction nine for Tewkesbury after the crash, which occurred at about 09:50 BST.

Gloucestershire Police said the motorcyclist, a man aged in his 70s, was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for treatment to injuries which were not deemed to be life-threatening.

According to National Highways, all lanes are now open northbound and there are no residual delays on the approach.
