Livvy Dunne shows off iconic slow-mo Baywatch run with Jimmy Fallon

Social media star Livvy Dunne is gearing up for her silver screen debut in the FOX Baywatch reboot. Dunne will be playing the role of a young lifeguard named “Grace,” alongside the likes of Stephen Amell, Jessica Belkin, Hassie Harrison, Shay Mitchell, Brooks Nader, David Chokachi, Thaddeus LaGrone, and Noah Beck.

Baywatch was initially expected to premiere this fall, but it was recently reported that the 12-episode series has been bumped to late January 2027.

Dunne previously showed off some behind-the-scenes photos from filming and has openly been promoting the series across her always active social media channels. On Wednesday night, Dunne took her promotional skills to late-night television.

Despite producers delaying the premiere of the series, Dunne appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and gave the comedian some acting tips by teaching him how to do the iconic, slow-motion Baywatch run.

Dunne also discussed how the acting gig came to be, after ending her gymnastics career at LSU, where she was part of the 2024 national championship team.

“Yeah, so actually my first ever audition was in person. Shout out my acting coach, Caroline. She’s in the audience right now,” Dunne said. “But I was obviously so nervous. And it was different because gymnastics, usually, you just go out there and perform on a four-inch beam. But this I have to talk and perform and play somebody else rather than myself. It was completely different. I ended up not getting that one”, which it was probably a show that you would know. But I ended up then auditioning.”

Dunne revealed her first audition was for the hit series The White Lotus, but she’s happy to land on the Baywatch cast.

“Baywatch is going to be the move. I ended up auditioning for Baywatch, and I submitted my self tape. Yeah. I had really no expectation of what was going to happen. I got a call back, and I ended up booking it,” she said.

While you will have to wait to see Livvy and her castmates flex their acting chops on the beach in late January 2027, you will be able to see her in the newstands when the 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue drops.
