A limp defeat in El Clasico this past weekend assured Los Blancos can no longer overcome the now-14-point gap between them and the table leaders with three games to go. Meanwhile, a 0-0 stalemate at home to Getafe on the same day wasn’t enough to keep Oviedo’s survival hopes alive as it became the first team in La Liga this term to have its relegation confirmed.
