A man has been arrested after a crash on the M6 involving a suspected stolen car.
Police said they spotted the blue Audi S3 heading northbound between junctions 12 and 13, which was then involved in a crash with a lorry near Stafford services.
Two men fled on foot, as firearms officers, a dog unit and the National Police Air Service were sent to the scene.
Parts of the motorway between junctions 14 and 15 were closed for several hours on Thursday morning, and there there were also lane closures between junctions 13 and 14. The motorway has since reopened.
