A Gogglebox star has died. Studio Lambert, the company behind the Channel 4 show, have released a statement regarding his passing.
77-year-old Ken Harwood died after a short illness and Studio Lambert informed fans: “He will be dearly missed by his wife Anne, sons Simon and Ross, daughter-in-law, Elle, grandchildren Freya and Tristram, and all who knew him. The TV star reportedly died last week. He was married to his co-star Anne for 55 years and previously worked as a postmaster and a local councillor.

During his first appearance on the show, Ken gave Anne 50 roses for each year they’d been married. She said: “You have put me to shame now with a card and roses, and I got you nothing, but you have me and that’s all you need.”
The couple starred on the show from 2020 to 2022.
News of Ken’s death comes shortly after it was recently announced that one of the show’s most beloved couples have gone their separate ways.

Roisin shared the relationship update on her Instagram page: “Well table for 1 it is then girls! #brutallyaxedagain”, referencing her Gogglebox departure.
One of her friends wrote: “Table for 2 because I’ll be there!” as Roisin replied: “The only lover I need, for real for real.”
