PGA Championship Cut Rule Explained: Who Makes the Weekend at Aronimink

The second Major Championship of 2026 is nearly halfway complete.
This year, as in years past, the 108th PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania will feature a 36-hole cut.
Here’s how it the cut works at the PGA Championship:
- Following the first 36 holes of play, the 156-player field will be reduced to the low 70 scorers and ties.
- There is just one cut
- The top 70 players (including ties) make the cut
- Every player who makes the cut can finish all four rounds since there isn’t a second cut
Notable players who missed the cut include: Bryson DeChambeau, Michael Block, Max Homa, Adam Scott, Tommy Fleetwood, Garrick Higgo, Wyndham Clark and Keegan Bradley.
