Mermaids, Bluey, drones and Legos. There’s lots to do in Orlando this summer

From mermaids to Bluey to drone shows, Central Florida attractions are offering plenty of whimsical fun and kid-pleasing entertainment this Summer.
Swimming with the giant sea turtle and manta rays at the SEALIFE Aquarium Orlando is a fantastical creature — a mermaid.
In reality, the performers are wearing 30-pound silicone and hold their breath in between using the tube of compressed air next to them — an impressive feat considering they spend up to 30 minutes at a time underwater.
The mermaids perform May 16-17 and 23-25. Visit the aquarium’s website for hours. The festivities include a meet and greet with one of the mermaids above land.
If you are a parent to a preschooler, you probably haven’t been able to escape the charm of Bluey, who regularly tops the charts.
It’s a clash of the titans because Blue is coming to Disney World starting May 26 at Animal Kingdom’s Conservation Station.
Disney previously announced that the Bluey experience will include character greetings, dance parties and games.

Taking up the skies at night this Summer is a new drone show at SeaWorld Orlando that’s part of the park’s Electric Ocean nighttime event.
Hundreds of synchronized drones will create images of sea creatures.
The Electric Ocean festivities also include a fireworks and fountain show, nighttime animal shows, dance parties with a DJ and a cirque show featuring acrobats.
Electric Ocean runs on select dates from June 12 to Sept. 7 and is included with regular theme park admission.
In addition, SeaWorld is opening a new family thrill ride this Summer, although no official opening date has been announced. Expedition Odyssey: Fire & Ice is themed at an arctic research post that takes passengers on a “prototype drone craft” and promises a “breathtaking cinematic journey,” the company said.
A short drive from Orlando is also a pair of theme parks in Winter Haven geared toward the youngest theme park fans.
Peppa Pig theme park is launching “Pig Family Travel Adventure,” which is a park-wide passport-guided adventure across five themed activity zones. The event running May 23 through June 28 also includes a scavenger hunt, meet and greets and photo opportunities.
As the World Cup comes to Miami this Summer, Legoland Florida is getting in on the fun, too.
“Share a piece of the action,” Legoland teases for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Experience running June 11-July 19. Families will be able to build their own soccer kits with Legos, take a picture with a Lego World Cup trophy and play interactive games.
Legoland is also launching its Lego Festival from July 20 to Aug. 16, featuring new “thrill and play zones,” hands-on build challenges, live shows and more.
