Kolkata Knight Riders faced Gujarat Titans in their 12th league match of the ongoing IPL 2026 season on Saturday (May 16) and defeated them by 29 runs at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The win in front of home fans helped KKR keep alive their hopes of finishing in the top four and qualifying for the playoffs.

KKR have 11 points from 12 matches played so far, and they are 7th in the IPL 2026 points table. Despite being in the bottom half of the table, the Knight Riders are alive in the top-four race.
