Cricket World Cup League 2: Nepal beat Scotland by six wickets

Nepal defeated Scotland by six wickets in their second Cricket World Cup League 2 meeting of the tri-series.

Scotland batted first and were 194 all out after Brandon McMullen’s 73 runs and 51 from Michael English.

Lalit Rajbanshi took four wickets, including those of captain Richie Berrington (12) and Michael Leask (one).

In Nepal’s reply, Khushal Bhurtel fell leg before wicket off McMullen’s bowling after 28 runs and Aasif Sheikh was restricted to 29 before being run out.

But Ishan Pandey’s 55 and Rohit Paudel top scoring on 74 put Nepal in a strong position as they finished on 199-4.

The Scots had beaten Nepal and the United States earlier in the series and play the latter again on Wednesday. Nepal also have two wins before their final match with the United States on Friday.
