Alex Marquez undergoes successful surgery after Catalan GP crash

 

Following his scary accident in the Catalan GP, Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) was taken to hospital for further assessments where he has been diagnosed with a broken right collarbone and a small fracture of his C7 vertebrae. The collarbone underwent a successfully surgery on Sunday night, being stabilised with the insertion of a plate. He will leave the Hospital General de Catalunya this afternoon before continuing his recovery at home.
