The Boys actor Antony Starr has responded to fan criticism ahead of the show’s series finale.
Kripke added, “I’m getting a lot of online dissatisfaction, to put it politely. And I’m like, ‘What are you expecting? Are you expecting a huge battle scene every episode?’”
Well, it looks like Starr has also joined this conversation. In a post on Instagram by Starr, a comment read, “yall got a lot to wrap up next week”. Starr replied, “life is messy. Nothing ends up tidy.”
Starr isn’t the only cast member who has been acknowledging fan criticism. Laz Alonso, who plays Mother’s Milk, also recently shared a reel on Instagram that talked about a “Soldier Boy Problem.”
The Boys Season 5 Episode 7 also had an unlikely cameo from Marvel Studios actor Samuel L. Jackson. Speaking of the cameo, Kripke said that they really wanted a “distinct voice who has a more distinct voice in Hollywood than Sam Jackson?” Kripke also revealed that Jackson was the first choice for the voice cameo.
The series finale is set to air on May 20, with the rest of the episodes currently available to stream via Amazon Prime Video.
