Robbie Williams impersonator brings sweet music to re-opened North Yorkshire pub

A Robbie Williams impersonator is making sweet music at his pub in Boroughbridge.
Since re-opening the Anchor Inn in Langthorpe at the end of February, after a revamp, Liam Gray has been earning applause from the fast-growing town for his music, ales, quiz nights and other events.
Liam says he is really happy with how the pub, owned by Red Oak Taverns, has progressed, but he knows he and his hardworking staff, for whom he has the highest of praise, still have a long way to go and they cannot let standards drop.
He wants to thank Boroughbridge residents for their support, plus visitors to the town, with him expecting a busy summer helped by the pub having a ‘beautiful’ beer garden next to the canal.

The accomplished singer, who has toured the UK, Europe, the Middle East, says it became apparent the Anchor is “a locals pub” and they want it also used for charity events.
The first event is a charity car wash this Sunday from 10am to 2pm to support St Michael’s Hospice, followed by a BBQ and live music.

The Anchor is presently drinks only, but soon it will start serving food, starting initially with pizza and loaded fries, but he added “watch this space.”
On the review’s websites, Liam and his team have come in for much praise.
