No GO train service at Downsview Park Station for Bruno Mars concert this weekend

Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow announces that TTC fares will be free after concerts at Rogers Stadium, located near Downsview Park.
Toronto’s largest outdoor stadium is set to welcome thousands of concertgoers for another season, with Bruno Mars performing first for five nights.
The Uptown Funk singer is hitting the stage on May 23, 24, 27, 28 and 30. Other artists scheduled to perform at Rogers Stadium include BTS, AC/DC, Noah Kahan, Usher and Chris Brown.
Live Nation says all shows will end by 11 p.m. and vinyl cladding is installed on the backs of grandstands to manage the noise.
Here’s everything fans need to know, from transportation to what’s new at the stadium.
GO Transit
Metrolinx says the Barrie Line, which serves Downsview Park station, will have regular service on concert nights except for three Bruno Mars dates.
There is no GO train service at Downsview Park on May 23, 24 and 30 due to “planned track closure.”
No GO replacement buses will stop at the station, and Metrolinx is urging concertgoers to take the TTC to get to the stadium. The buses will only run between Allandale Waterfront GO and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
Barrie Line closure
“These short-term disruptions are really about helping us to build out important GO expansion work that will ultimately lead to faster, more reliable and more frequent service for customers,” Metrolinx spokesperson Lindsay Miller said.
Metrolinx explained that weekend service disruptions are scheduled months in advance.
There is also no GO train service on the Lakeshore West line between Aldershot and Union stations this weekend for major track upgrades.
GO replacement buses will pick up passengers at West Harbour, Aldershot, Burlington, Oakville and Clarkson GO stations. The buses will then drop off passengers at Bramalea GO, where they can take the train on the Kitchener Line to Union Station.

TTC
Live Nation announced that it is paying for free TTC rides for ticketholders after every show. The TTC says there will be no planned service disruptions on concert nights.
There will be extra subway service on Lines 1, 2, 5, and 6, as well as extra buses servicing the stadium.
Fans can catch the subway at Downsview Park Station, which is the closest, Sheppard West Station, and Wilson Station.
The TTC says there will be free shuttle service between Wilson Station and the stadium, running 30 minutes before the Fan Plaza opens and until one hour after the show ends.
There is also a new pedestrian path available to Sheppard West Station. The TTC describes it as a “straight line” from the subway to the northeast side of the stadium.
Live Nation says “safety queuing” will be used at Downsview Park and Sheppard West stations if the TTC determines that they are at capacity.
Parking
There is limited parking surrounding the stadium, and Live Nation is directing anyone who will be driving to park at nearby subway stations or at a paid commuter parking at York University.
Parking at the stadium, including accessible parking, must be purchased in advance. Live Nation says passes cannot be purchased upon arrival at the venue.
Ride share pick up and drop-off
The ride-share pickups and drop-offs are located at 81 YZD Lane and 590 Wilson Ave.
What’s new:
- Additional washrooms, water stations and relocated concession stands to improve crowd flow
- Increased digital signage
- More covered fan areas
- New Rogers Stadium app for all real-time information
