FHP: Numerous crashes along I-10 snarl traffic Wednesday evening in Tallahassee

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – The Florida Highway Patrol is reporting multiple crashes unfolded within minutes of each other along I-10 Wednesday evening.
Troopers say a total of seven vehicles crashed on I-10 eastbound and four vehicles crashed westbound. Only minor injuries have been reported.
Traffic cameras showed one car flipped on its roof on the shoulder of the roadway near mile marker 201 at about 6 p.m., and several cars pulled off to the side. About an hour later, cameras showed a tow truck hauling away the flipped car while troopers directed traffic around the scene.
It remains unclear how many vehicles were involved in that crash and how many people were injured.
A few miles down the road, near mile marker 199, FHP reported another collision had happened at about 6:12 p.m.
Meanwhile, near mile marker 203, FHP reported another crash on I-10 eastbound. Troopers are saying the roadway is clear near that crash site.
Heavy rainstorms washed through north Tallahassee on Wednesday evening, but it is unclear if the storms contributed to the collisions.
