England’s FIFA World Cup 2026 match schedule confirmed

When do the Three Lions play against Croatia, Ghana and Panama, and possibly beyond?

England head to North America in June for the FIFA World Cup 2026, where Thomas Tuchel’s side are aiming to add a second star to their shirt.

The draw for the tournament was made in December, when the Three Lions were placed in Group L, along with Croatia, Ghana and Panama and the full match schedule has been confirmed including dates, kick-off times and venues.

Tuchel’s side will kick-off their tournament against Croatia on Wednesday 17 June 2026 (9pm BST kick-off) at Dallas Stadium in Arlington, Texas, USA.

England face Ghana next on Tuesday 23 June (9pm BST kick-off) at the Boston Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, USA.

And the Three Lions round off the group stage with their final game against Panama on Saturday 27 June (10pm BST kick-off) at New York New Jersey Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, USA.

But should England progress from the group stage and into the knockout rounds, what might their journey look like from there?

If we finish top of Group L, here’s what our schedule would look like…

The Round of 32

England would head to the Atlanta Stadium for their first knockout game, where they will play the third-placed team from Group E, H, I, J or K on Wednesday 1 July (5pm BST).

Round of 16

If we were to progress from the Round of 32, then it would be down to Mexico City where we would face the winner of Match 79 (Group A winners v Group C, E, F, H or I third place) on Sunday 5 July (1am BST).

Quarter-final

Florida feels. England would travel to Miami, a familiar location where the squad’s pre-tournament camp takes place, on Saturday 11 July (10pm BST).

Semi-final

If England win in Florida, we’d be back off to Atlanta for the semi-final, with that game staged on Wednesday 15 July (8pm BST).
