Nicola, who rose to stardom on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, has been dating businessman and semi-pro footie player Mitch since 2022.

They secretly got engaged after two years together, with The Sun reporting that he popped the big question on holiday in the south of France in July 2024.

‘Nicola has met her soulmate in Mitch. She couldn’t be happier,’ a source said at the time.

‘The couple first made their relationship public when seen together at a Sir Elton John concert in 2022, but tend to keep their romance away from the spotlight and social media.’

Giving birth now makes Nicola the fourth mum of the group, as bandmate Kimberley has three sons with husband Justin Scott, Nadine Coyle has daughter Anaíya with American footballer Jason Bell, and Cheryl has nine-year-old Bear with late ex-partner Liam Payne.

Girls Aloud’s beloved fifth member, Sarah Harding, died from breast cancer in September 2021 at age 39. The surviving members have remained close since and have fundraised numerous times in her memory.
