A framework agreement with Iran was “95% there” as of Sunday, officials told Fox News, though they said negotiators were still haggling over “language” detailing Tehran’s nuclear stockpile and the Strait of Hormuz.
“We are not going to roll over. We are not there yet on a deal. We are not going to sign a deal today or tomorrow,” the official said before adding that President Donald Trump’s “instinct is to give them 5, 6, 7 days” to get an agreement over the line.
The official confirmed a “No Dust, No Dollars” policy was guiding negotiations, adding that Iran had agreed “in principle to the framework, and we are 95% there.”
“We have a deal on the nuclear stockpile and the Strait of Hormuz but are negotiating language,” the official said, reiterating the administration’s “No Dust, No Dollars” approach.
“We have the opportunity to make a deal that will lower costs for Americans while ensuring the Iranians do not get a nuclear weapon,” the official added.
“We are not going to do a bad deal, that’s for sure. We have optionality and can resume military strikes if a deal is not reached.”
Trump also instructed negotiators Sunday “not to rush into a deal” and stressed that “time is on our side.”
On Saturday, Trump said a deal with Iran — which he described as a “memorandum of understanding” — had been “largely negotiated.”

President Donald Trump said Sunday that any deal his administration reaches with Iran would be “good and proper” and sharply contrasted it with the Obama-era nuclear agreement.
“If I make a deal with Iran, it will be a good and proper one, not like the one made by Obama, which gave Iran massive amounts of CASH, and a clear and open path to a Nuclear Weapon,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
“Our deal is the exact opposite, but nobody has seen it, or knows what it is. It isn’t even fully negotiated yet,” he said.
“So don’t listen to the losers, who are critical about something they know nothing about,” Trump added, saying that “unlike those before me who should have solved this problem many years ago, I don’t make bad deals!”

Graham urges Trump to ‘stick to your guns’ in Iran deal, calls for expanded Abraham Accords
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., urged President Donald Trump on Sunday to remain steadfast as Washington continued working toward finalizing an agreement with Tehran over the war.
“If, in fact, as a result of these negotiations to end the Iranian conflict, our Arab and Muslim allies in the region agree to join the Abraham Accords, it would make this agreement one of the most consequential in the history of the Middle East,” Graham wrote on X.
Graham also highlighted Trump’s earlier remarks about Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Pakistan joining the Abraham Accords, calling the president’s suggestion “beyond transformative for the region and world.”
“It is a brilliant move by President Trump,” Graham said.
Speaking directly to U.S. Gulf allies, Graham added: “I expect, as President Trump has suggested, you will in fact join the Abraham Accords, effectively ending the Arab-Israeli conflict.”
“If you refuse to go down this path, as suggested by President Trump, it will have severe repercussions for our future relationships and make this peace proposal unacceptable,” he continued. “Further, it would be seen by history as a major miscalculation.”
“President Trump: Stick to your guns in getting a good deal with Iran,” Graham reiterated, adding that it was “equally important” to insist Saudi Arabia and other nations join the Abraham Accords as part of the negotiations.

US Army hits 2026 recruiting goals four months early, Hegseth announces at West Point commencement
The United States Army reached its recruiting goals for 2026 four months early, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth revealed during a commencement speech Saturday at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York.
“Recruitments are up across the joint force, and I’m pleased to announce that, just two days ago, the U.S. Army met its 2026 recruiting goals four months early,” Hegseth said.
“A second record year in a row. That means you’re about to train this group right here and lead 61,500 new soldiers. And next year, when we grow the size of the army, it will be even more when you’re out there in your formations as platoon leaders at the tip of the spear. You will be at the tip of the spear of their snapback.”
In 2025, the Army set a goal of 61,000 and exceeded it with 62,050, according to the Pentagon.
“The men and women who chose to serve our nation are actively showing their commitment to something larger than themselves,” Command Sgt. Maj. Danny Basham, United States Army Recruiting Division command sergeant major, said in a statement. “The nation depends on their strength, character and commitment.”
During Hegseth’s speech, the war secretary also criticized previous military policy of focusing on diversity goals and “anti-American ideologies.”
“They embraced the DEI craze and tried to introduce diversity and inclusion studies, and they hired professors who advocated for anti-American ideologies right here in these halls. But no more. West Point is set apart. It’s special. It’s above politics. Success here is based on merit. It’s how you perform that matters. This is the United States Military Academy,” he said.

US weighing ‘significant accommodations’ on sanctions if Iran bends on enriched uranium: official
The U.S. may be willing to make “significant accommodations” for Iran on sanctions relief if the nation’s leaders are willing to make a similar accommodations to the U.S. on enriched uranium, a senior administration official told Fox News on Sunday.
The official downplayed reports that the deal could be signed on Sunday, saying Tehran’s system “does not move fast enough.”
“Our plan is to deal with all of their stockpile of the enriched material,” the official said. “We see the Iranians making some serious accommodations on these questions that we didn’t see before.”
“If the Iranians make significant accommodations on the enrichment question then we will make significant accommodations on sanctions relief,” the official continued.
“Even in the IRGC’s own propaganda, they did not talk about tolling the Strait of Hormuz. Our position is quite clear. We don’t think that a toll is an acceptable outcome,” the official added.

Trump says Iran talks are ‘orderly and constructive,’ vows Tehran won’t obtain nuclear weapon
President Donald Trump says the negotiations with Iran are proceeding in an “orderly and constructive” manner on Sunday, but he reiterated America’s hardline stances.
Trump compared the talks to U.S.-Iran negotiations under former President Barack Obama, which he said produced “One of the worst deals ever made by our Country.”
Trump made the comment in a lengthy post to his Truth Social account, arguing the current talks were the “opposite” of Obama’s negotiations.
“The negotiations are proceeding in an orderly and constructive manner, and I have informed my representatives not to rush into a deal in that time is on our side. The Blockade will remain in full force and effect until an agreement is reached, certified, and signed. Both sides must take their time and get it right. There can be no mistakes! Our relationship with Iran is becoming a much more professional and productive one,” Trump wrote.
“They must understand, however, that they cannot develop or procure a Nuclear Weapon or Bomb. I would like to thank, thus far, all of the countries of the Middle East for their support and cooperation, which will be further enhanced and strengthened by their joining the Nations of the historic Abraham Accords and, who knows, perhaps the Islamic Republic of Iran would like to join, as well!” he added.

White House blasts Cruz, Pompeo for trashing Trump peace efforts as ‘Iran appeasement’
While President Donald Trump was burning the midnight oil hammering out a last-minute peace and denuclearization deal with Iran, his White House inner circle was hammering the critics from the right for either working to “undermine” peace efforts or “illegally” abusing residual security clearance.
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, a Fox News contributor, and Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, received X criticism from some of Trump’s top inner circle advisors, including White House communications director Steven Cheung, deputy assistant on counterterror Sebastian Gorka and outside political advisor Alex Bruesewitz.
“Mike Pompeo has no idea what the f— he’s talking about,” Cheung wrote in a scathing X post Saturday night. “He should shut his stupid mouth and leave the real work to the professionals. He’s not read into anything that’s happening, so how would he know.”
The Pompeo post that drew the ire suggested an impending Trump deal would wind up being an Obama-era-esque capitulation to Iran’s ongoing nuclear weapons aspirations.
“The deal being floated with Iran seems straight out of the Wendy Sherman-Robert Malley-Ben Rhodes playbook: Pay the IRGC to build a WMD program and terrorize the world,” Pompeo wrote on X. “Not remotely America First.”

Iranian national team to train in Mexico during World Cup after base camp switch, official says
As next month’s highly anticipated World Cup approaches, participating nations are finalizing base camps across the tournament’s three host countries to serve as training headquarters during the competition.
The U.S., Canada and Mexico are co-hosting this year’s World Cup.
However, Iran’s national team — which has faced heightened scrutiny leading up to this summer’s World Cup — recently learned it will not be based in the United States once the tournament begins. According to the president of Iran’s soccer federation, the team will instead establish its base camp in Mexico.
Mehdi Taj, president of the Iran Football Federation, announced the decision Saturday in a statement released by the federation’s media relations office. FIFA did not immediately confirm the move.
Iran had been scheduled to train in Tucson, Arizona, but a move has been a possibility because of uncertainty surrounding the war in the Middle East and security concerns. Officials at Tucson’s Kino Sports Complex declined to comment.
According to Iran’s soccer federation, the team’s base will now switch to south of the California border to Tijuana, Mexico.
“All team base camps for the countries participating in the World Cup must be approved FIFA,” Taj said in his statement. “Fortunately, following the requests we submitted and the meetings we held with FIFA and World Cup officials in Istanbul, as well as the webinar meeting we had yesterday in the Tehran with the respected FIFA secretary general, our request to change the team’s base from the United States to Mexico was approved.”

Proposed Iran deal includes oil sanctions relief, continued US military presence
Fox News has learned new details surrounding the deal taking shape between Iran and the U.S. as negotiations continue into Sunday.
For the next 30 days, U.S. forces will stay “in the proximity of Iran” in order to signal that military response will remain an option if nuclear issues aren’t resolved or if Iran violates the interim agreement, per a regional source who has reviewed the deal.
In exchange, Iran will receive oil sanctions waivers and will have frozen funds and assets worth billions of dollars released.
