Coca-Cola 600 sold out for fifth consecutive year

CONCORD, N.C. (WBTV) – The Coca-Cola 600 has sold out for the fifth consecutive year, Charlotte Motor Speedway officials announced.

The capacity crowd will include thousands of fans from all 50 states and 14 countries across five continents including Australia, Brazil and South Africa.

“The Coca-Cola 600 has consistently delivered some of the most thrilling racing our sport has to offer, but what makes this weekend truly remarkable are the incredible displays of patriotism and remembrance that surround the race,” said Charlotte Motor Speedway acting General Manager Jessica Fickenscher.

The North Carolina Education Lottery 200 CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race ran at 10 a.m. Sunday, ahead of the sold-out 67th running of the Coca-Cola 600.

With Saturday’s Coca-Cola 600 qualifying rained out, NASCAR champion Tyler Reddick will lead the field to green in front of a packed house for the historic race.

Fans who still wish to attend the race can select from a limited number of verified resale tickets available online at Ticketmaster’s verified resale page. Fans who choose to watch from home can catch all 600 miles on Amazon Prime Video.

The live pre-race show begins at 5 p.m. with the green flag scheduled to drop just after 6 p.m. with Dale Earnhardt Jr., Adam Alexander and Steve Letarte on the call.

The historic showdown follows the tragic death of NACAR champion Kyle Busch on Thursday, May 21. Busch was set to compete but officially withdrew due to a severe illness. He was 41.
