HOGLUND BALLPARK IMPROVEMENTS
Kansas has increased the capacity of Hoglund Ballpark by approximately 60 percent. Hoglund Ballpark’s capacity will be approximately 4,000 people, up from the previous 2,500.
Nicknamed ‘The Backyard’, there is a new fan area beyond the left field fence. Lawn chairs will be permissible in The Backyard, but they must be brought in through The Backyard gate in left field. Outside food and drink will not be permitted. Concessions will be available in The Backyard.
The location of the visiting team’s bullpen has moved underneath the Rich Jantz Player Development Center structure.
With the change in location of the visiting team’s bullpen, the previous location of the bullpen will now be used as a reserved standing room only fan area. There will be a tent in that area along with access to concessions and beverages.
Protective netting has been installed down the third base line for increased safety in the standing room only area.
EXTENDED CONCOURSE & AMENITIES
With an increased capacity, the concourse has been extended into portions of the parking lot on the first and third base sides surrounding Hoglund Ballpark.
There will be additional restrooms located in the extended concourse on the first and third base sides as well as in left field for The Backyard.
Additional concessions and food trucks will be implemented in each of those areas. All concessions and food trucks will be credit card only. No cash will be accepted.
